The Brilliant Blue Challenge First Scandinavian Team in Finland!

The Brilliant Blue Challenge First Finnish Team Comes from Rovaniemi!
We’ve got exciting news! To the Oceans Project is proud to present the first Finnish team – “The Arctic Team Rovaniemi” – to join the world-famous Brilliant Blue Challenge idea competition. The challenge, originally from Canada, gathers high school teams from all over the world to compete with their best and brightest ideas to help and protect our oceans.
In 2025, the competition will be held on October 17–18 as a hybrid event – with both in-person and online participants.
For the very first time, Finland will be represented at the finals by the Lyseonpuisto High School’s Arctic Team Rovaniemi! This creative four-student team, guided by their amazing teacher Hanna, has already produced a fantastic video showcasing the importance of northern water cycles and ice. To the Oceans Project will be supporting and cheering them on as they present their ideas live 17.11-18.11.
The chosen competition category is “Healthy Marine Life”.

The Arctic Team Rovaniemi consists of four high school students, who are very talented and creative with many ideas of the water cycles, of the Arctic climate and of seas across. The team together with Sini from totheoceans.com are excited to be the first Finnish team ever to participate to this amazing international competition to help the seas.
